Derek O’Boyle

Derek originally joined MKF in 2007 as an FM/Project Engineer and has since developed within the Company to his current role as General Manager and Director of MKF. A diligent and motivated professional, Derek oversees all aspects of Company objectives in terms of FM Delivery & Standards, Client Interface, Responsible Business & Strategic Planning and Company growth.

With over 15 years working within the built environment and FM Industry, Derek brings significant expertise in FM Delivery & Strategic Planning, Technical & Soft Services, Operational Modelling, FM Consultancy, Procurement/Tendering, QEHS, Contract Management and Sustainable Business/Workplace Solutions, having supported multiple FM clients across Healthcare, Manufacturing, Public Sector, Commercial / Multinational, Residential and Hospitality and Tourism within the Irish market. In addition, Derek has successfully delivered and managed a broad base of FM Projects and solutions across Ireland, Holland, Belgium, Sweden and Georgia.

Derek holds a BEng (Hons) in Engineering from TU Dublin, and also sits on the IWFM Ireland Steering Committee, the leading body for Workplace & Facility Management in Ireland.

Financial Director

Ray Smith

Ray is the Finance Director of MKF with responsibility for the management of all aspects of Finance function within MKF.

With extensive experience in Accounting, Strategic Financial Planning, Operational Cost Management, Procurement and Taxation , Ray plays an important role in the day-to-day operations of the business and supporting future Company strategic growth. Having worked across diverse business sectors and with multinational clients both in Ireland and overseas, Ray has a proven track record spanning 25 years. Coupled with this, Ray has significant on site commercial project experience on multimillion euro projects in Ireland, UK, and mainland Europe.

Ray holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from DCU, is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and Institute of Taxation of Ireland and also holds relevant qualifications in Facilities and Property Management.

FM Director

David Gormalley

David is a Senior FM and Director of MKF. David joined the company in 2002 as an FM team lead and his since developed within the company to his current role.

David has significant experience in the mobilisation and successful delivery of multi-million euro integrated FM solutions and teams, QEHS & ISO standards accreditation, Vendor management/Procurement and  Sustainable business / ESG initiatives. Coupled with this, David has a strong track record of project execution across new Client capital investment programs, building upgrades and plant refurbishment. David is a professional and organised leader, who actively supports the operational and strategic goals of MKF, with a continual focus on service delivery to the highest of standards.

David is a member of SCSI and holds an electrical trade qualification, along with a BSc in Property and Facilities Management from TU Dublin.

Environmental Health & Safety Advisor

Chloe Blackmore

Chloe is the Environmental Health and Safety Advisor at MKF. With experience in Property, Fire, Safety, Environmental and Health & Welfare across a wide spectrum of business sectors including Hospitality & Tourism, Manufacturing, Commercial & Residential, Chloe ensures that both our team and Client workplaces/projects are compliant with the relevant legislation, standards and training requirements.

Chloe has a strong track record and proven ability in supporting our team deliver EHS solutions that meets our Clients needs. Chloe is an integral part of the MKF team, providing clear and concise guidance, to ensure the highest of standards of Safety, Health & Welfare are facilitated on a daily basis.

Chloe holds qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety,  DSE Assessment, Mobile Plant & Safety & Inspection and is a member of Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH).

Senior FM

Colm Dolan

With over 20 years experience in the built environment and technical services sectors, Colm is one of our key FM Managers across our multi-national Client accounts.

In addition to delivering various bespoke FM solutions ranging from Client operational reviews through to Total Facilities Management models, Colm has proven ability in the mobilisation of a range of Client projects and services in the various sectors such as hospitality, healthcare, food production, residential, commercial and retail.

A conscientious  professional with experience in vendor/contractor management, project management, QEHS/ISO accreditations, Sustainability & Responsible Business initiatives and all aspects of hard and soft services, Colm leads our site teams and nurtures a service culture that continually delivers against our Clients business needs.

FM Lead

Alan Hynes

As one of our key FM Lead, Alan is an integral part of the MKF team and plays a vital role in the day to day management of various Client sites and service delivery.

With over 15 years experience in the construction and built environment, Alan has experience in supporting Clients across a range of Industries including Healthcare, Education, Manufacturing, Public Sector, Commercial, Residential and Hospitality & Tourism. Throughout this period, Alan has carried out various roles ranging from technical field engineer to FM works project management.

Alan is a great communicator at all service levels and a team player, with experience in contract mobilisation and vendor management, QEHS compliance, Technical & Soft service delivery, Budget control, and FM plant upgrade project management.

Alan has a proven ability in understanding Clients service needs and ensuring site service delivery remains flexible and agile to meet changing day to day service delivery requirements, without service compromise.

Visitor Experience Finance

Ann Murphy

Ann is the Financial Administrator and HR Lead for our Visitor Experience (VE) Operator business unit. Based in Kilkenny, with over 20 years experience in Hospitality Management and Administration, Ann was a key member of the MKF remobilisation team that successfully delivered the relaunch of the Smithwicks Visitor Experience following it’s recent refurbishment.

As HR Lead, Ann ensures that our VE team are compliant with the required legislation, standards and continual training/upskilling requirements to meet our Client VE operational needs.

Ann has proven ability in team management, recruitment and training, vendor/contractor management, resource planning, accounting, cost management, ticketing and EPOS systems and performs an important  management role in the daily operation of the VE business and reporting.

Visitor Experiences Operations Manager

Martin Hanrahan

Martin is Operations Manager across our Visitor Experience (VE) Operator business unit. With over 20 years management experience within the hospitality and tourism sector, Martin oversees the day to day management of our visitor experience teams and related operations.

Martin has a strong track record in the delivery of award winning visitor experiences including VE design/planning support, tour and script development, admissions, retail and bar offerings, resource planning, team training, budget management, Technical & Soft services delivery, VE upgrade project management , VE mobilisations, stakeholder and local authority liaisons.

In addition to supporting the wider strategic goals of the MKF business, Martin empowers our VE teams to deliver on Client Brand standards, Sustainability/ESG initiatives and future development strategies.
